Cyclic Carbo-Isosteric Depsipeptides and Peptides as a Novel Class of Peptidomimetic

Gueret, Stephanie, Meier, Peter and Roth, Hans-Joerg (2014) Cyclic Carbo-Isosteric Depsipeptides and Peptides as a Novel Class of Peptidomimetic. Organic Letters, 16 (5). pp. 1502-1505.

Abstract

A novel and highly efficient cyclization method has been developed to access a new class of cyclic carbo-isosteric depsipeptides and peptides as drug-like molecules. The well-known reductive amination has been used to afford cyclic tetra- to octa-pseudopeptides via a selective intramolecular formation of a glycine peptidomimetic unit.
