Abstract

The synthesis of 1,1-disubstituted C-glycosides 15, 18 and 21 containing amino and ester moieties at what is formally the anomeric site is described. Petasis olefination reaction of pyranosyl lactones 5-7 provided exo-glycals 8-10 which underwent regioselective azidoselenation and subsequent radical-mediated C-glycoside formation.
