Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive review of prefilled syringes (PFS), including their components, manufacturing processes, advantages and disadvantages and regulatory considerations. The article aims to provide readers with a thorough understanding of PFS, their characteristics, and application in the pharmaceutical industry.
PFS have become increasingly popular due to their convenience, dosage accuracy, lower risk of use errors, and shelf-life stability. With the growth of the biopharmaceutical industry, there is a growing demand for pre-fillable syringes for the administration of vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, xRNAs and other new modalities in development.
