From Milligrams to Grams. SNAr Reactions in Aqueous Nanomicelles; No Dipolar Aprotic Solvents Needed

Gallou, Fabrice and Lipshutz, Bruce (2017) From Milligrams to Grams. SNAr Reactions in Aqueous Nanomicelles; No Dipolar Aprotic Solvents Needed. Org. Proc. Res. Dev., 2017 (21). pp. 218-221.

Abstract

Two examples of SNAr reactions, each run in the absence of typically utilized dipolar
aprotic solvents (e.g., DMF), have been scaled to ca. 10 g. These are suggestive of the potential for
micellar catalysis in water, enabled by a commercially available designer surfactant (TPGS-750-M), to serve a replacement for traditionally employed organic solvents.
